MBR is a new technology that involves aerobic biological treatment and membrane filtration and ensures provision of water with high treatment efficiency.
Membrane separation process allows to remove the ordinary sedimentation tank from the system and to eliminate high level of bulk load in a very small area.
MBR ensures 98% BOD removal, full nitrification, denitrification and very good quality output water. It also ensures visible TSS removal.
Turbidity values of treated wastewater are low (<0.3 NTU), and the output water with SDI value (<3) can be re-used or can be used for irrigation. It can also be used as backwash water in NANO technologies and RO systems.
MBR membrane modules operate as dipped into bioreactor. They have different average sludge age and substrate balancing ratio than conventional active sludge process.
